What we are doing

In order to keep up with current legislation and guidance, we joined the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers and completed an accredited course in Holiday Let Cleaning for Covid-19. After conducting a risk assessment, we decided that the safest option for us and our guests was to leave a minimum period of 24 hours between bookings.  We hope that this, together with the information below, goes some way to reassuring our guests that we have taken every reasonable precaution.  Full details of our risk assessment and cleaning protocol are available to view in the links below.

  • Between bookings, the house will be thoroughly cleaned as usual. When there is less than 3 days between bookings the house will also be thoroughly sanitised. A virucidal disinfectant (unfragranced and conforming to EN14476) will be used on all touchpoints and hard surfaces (with particular attention to plastic and stainless-steel surfaces).

  • All towels and bedding are washed at 60°C.

  • All cupboards will be emptied of left-over food and toiletries.

  • A supply of hand sanitiser, cleaning materials and disinfectant spray is provided.


What we are asking our guests to do

  • Keep the house clean and air the rooms regularly.

  • Before leaving, empty all drawers and cupboards as well as the fridge and freezer.

  • Checkout by 10am at the very latest, to give us enough time to complete a safe changeover.

  • Remove bedding from all used beds and put them in bags with all used towels.
